A história do Altar de Yeshua começou em janeiro de 2010, fruto de uma conversa entre Windson, Altemar e Tácio. O que nasceu despretensiosamente na sala do apartamento da família de Tácio logo ganhou as ruas, ecoando pela casa de Windson e por diversos estúdios de Lauro de Freitas (BA). De lá para cá, muitos músicos passaram pela formação. A cada um deles, o grupo guarda uma profunda gratidão: cada integrante que passou deixou ensinamentos, ideias e momentos que moldaram quem o grupo é hoje.
A Evolução: Da Banda ao Ministério
O Altar de Yeshua nasceu como uma banda tradicional, mas o amadurecimento na fé e o alinhamento de propósito transformaram o projeto. Hoje, o Altar de Yeshua é um grupo de evangelismo que utiliza o Reggae como mecanismo para a pregação da Palavra de Deus.
Essa mudança foi movida por uma inquietação espiritual legítima: Do que adiantaria a música sem frutos? Sem obras? Sem a presença real de Jah? O lema que os move é o mandamento bíblico: Ide e fazei acontecer. Afinal, para o grupo, o Evangelho é simples: aceitar a Cristo como único Senhor e Salvador.
A Sonoridade e a Visão: Além do "Gospel"
Musicalmente, o grupo não se prende a rótulos rígidos. A base é o Reggae, navegando com naturalidade do Roots ao Ragga, mas com forte identidade brasileira ao incorporar elementos de Bossa Nova e Xote, além de pinceladas de Rock 'n' Roll e Blues.
É importante destacar: o Altar de Yeshua não se define como uma "banda gospel". O grupo recusa essa nomenclatura por discordar da lógica comercial que muitas vezes gira em torno dela. A visão é muito maior que a indústria fonográfica: "Não queremos mercado, queremos vidas."
