The Uniques foi um grupo vocal jamaicano de rocksteady e reggae, formado em 1966 e ativo com formações variadas até o final da década de 1970.

O Uniques foi formado originalmente como um trio de harmonia vocal de Roy Shirley, Slim Smith e Franklyn White, (os dois últimos do The Techniques)

lançando alguns singles em 1966,incluindo o R&B influenciado "Do Me Good" para o selo Caltone de Ken Lack (Keith Calneck). O grupo então se desfez,

até o final de 1967, quando Smith formou uma nova versão do grupo com Jimmy Riley e Lloyd Charmers .

A nova formação estreou com "Watch This Sound", uma versão cover de "For What It's Worth" de Stephen Stills, que foi um sucesso junto com uma série de singles

subsequentes, muitos produzidos por Bunny Lee, incluindo "My Conversation", que Lee vendeu para Rupie Edwards, que usou o ritmo para criar o primeiro álbum de um ritmo, Yamaha Skank.

Bunny Lee lançou um álbum de apresentação na década de 1970, e o nome do grupo foi brevemente revivido por Riley e Cornell Campbell em 1977 para o álbum Give Thanks, e novamente em 1997 com Al Campbell se juntando a Cornell e Riley no álbum The Uniques.
