P-Dub e Predator Dub Assassins

P-Dub (também conhecido como Timothy Boyce) é um artista norte-americano que desenvolveu uma marca única de reggae contemporâneo fundido com hip hop, rnb, pop e rock. P-Dub se apresenta com sua banda Predator Dub Assassins nos EUA e no Caribe desde 2001, tocando ao vivo com Culture, Isreal Vibration, Lee Scratch Perry, The Wailers, Toots and The Maytals, Midnight, Symarip, The Skatalites, Collie Buddz, Yellowman, Stephen Marley, Damian Marley e Mystic Bowie, entre muitos outros.

O caminho do P-Dub para a música reggae foi inspirador. “ Fui acolhido por um homem Rasta de Kingston quando tinha 17 anos e realmente precisava de alguém ou algo na minha vida.” Como ele relembra: "Ele me acolheu e me colocou em sua casa e literalmente me forçou a tocar reggae, o que salvou minha vida. Até então eu só tinha participado de bandas de rock, mas ele tinha um grande sistema de som de DJ e um estúdio de gravação e quando ele formou uma banda de roots reggae em torno dessa operação, fui convocado para tocar guitarra e cantar. Eu tinha encontrado um lar musical e espiritualmente e nunca mais saí. Mais tarde, é claro, veio o punk e o ska, que combinavam perfeitamente com o ensopado musical que eu já estava preparando.”

Desde então, o prolífico grupo lançou mais de 15 álbuns completos, incluindo: “Predator Dub Assassins” (2005), “The Hardest” (2007), “East Coast Dub Cartel Volume One” (2008), ”Fully Qualified” (2009), Estreia solo do P-Dub “Frontline” (2010) The Dub Files Volume 1 (2011) “Last Band Standing” (2012), Decade Of Dubs (2016) The Dub Files Volume Two (2017) Songs In The Key Of Sea (2018) Just Before September (2018) Miami Nice (2018) A Very Dubby Christmas (2018) Smoke and Mirrors (2019) On Any Sunday (2019), Progressão Positiva (2020) e Cisne Negro (2020).

Predator Dub Assassins fez uma aparição na série de TV de sucesso “American Chopper” em 2009, e forneceu música para vários programas de TV populares na Food Network e Fuel TV. Os principais posicionamentos na televisão incluem o programa de televisão da rede CBS Hawaii 5-0, The Glades na A&E e What We Do In The Dark na FX. P-Dub também forneceu trabalho de guitarra no longa-metragem The Wolf Of Wall Street dirigido por Martin Scorcese em 2013 e teve um vocal de destaque em Cobra Kai na Netflix em 2020. Outros projetos incluem escrever e gravar os jingles Red Stripe usados na atual campanha "Hooray Small Victories, Hooray Beer" da empresa e uma faixa solo P-Dub no filme Goldie, indicado ao Festival Internacional de Cinema e Prêmios de 2019.

Além disso, P-Dub trabalhou como cantor, compositor e produtor com uma gama diversificada de artistas de reggae, hip hop, rnb e pop, incluindo: Akon, Pitbull, Twista, Trina, The Diplomats, Pharoahe Monch, French Montana, Three 6 Mafia, Buju Banton, Maxi Priest, Wayne Wonder, Juicy J, Ace Hood, Gyptian, Jermaine Dupree e Britney Spears. Ele participou do álbum Amazin' de Trina ao lado dos luminares pop Lady Gaga, P-Diddy, Trey Songs, Rick Ross, Nicki Minaj e Lil’ Wayne. 

P-Dub e Predator Dub Assassins estão atualmente baseados em Asbury Park, Nova Jersey. Eles estão se apresentando ao vivo, produzindo novos projetos para clientes e artistas e gravando material para um álbum lançado em 2022.
