O Adeus ao lendário jamaicano King Stitt, um dos pioneiros dos Sound Systems!

King Stitt, uma das maiores lendas da música jamaicana, um dos DJs pioneiros da época, começou sua carreira em 1956 no Sir Coxsone Downbeat Sound System (de Coxsone Dodd, também já falecido). Stitt foi um dos primeiros a gravar como DJ, rimando e improvisando sobre as bases das músicas, dando origem ao dito primeiro Rap da história.

O senhor de 71 anos, faleceu por causas ainda não informadas no dia 08/01/2012. A lenda esteve no Brasil em outubro de 2011 onde se apresentou na Festa Jamboree, que faz um ótimo trabalho ao trazer diversas lendas da fundação da música jamaicana, muitas infelizmente pouco conhecidas do grande público.

Diferente de alguns livros que já Li, esse fala de bastidores de shows, ensaios e gravações: Cada título contém uma seleção de aproximadamente 150 fotos, cartazes coloridos e capas de discos algumas delas fotos raras de shows e fotos inéditas para mim até ver o livro, que vem escrito em 3 idiomas, inglês, espanhol e português, um livro recomendadíssimo para os amantes do reggae e principalmente para os críticos conhecerem um pouco mais desse extraordinário artista da música.

Unlike some books I've read, that speaks of scenes of concerts, rehearsals and recordings: Each title contains a selection of about 150 photos, colorful posters and record covers some rare photos of shows and unpublished photos for me to see the book , which is written in three languages, English, Spanish and Portuguese, a book highly recommended for reggae lovers and especially for critics know a little more of this extraordinary artist's music.
